Romans 5:1-11 (New International Version)
Romans 5
Peace and Joy
1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a]have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3Not only so, but we[c] also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
6You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! 10For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Romans 15:13 (New International Version)
13May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is so gracious to me. He has been showing me his heart. He is granting me peace, joy, love, and contentment. Things I have been longing for for so long. I have been looking in all of the wrong places. I needed to look to my beloved. He wants to give me peace. He wants to show me his love. He wants to fill me with so much joy. He is filling me with so much joy. I haven't been this content and happy in a really long time. He is filling the gaps and holes in my heart. He is healing the heart scars that have been imprinted on my heart. He has poured out his love to me. He has poured out his love to our hearts. I desire to be filled with his spirit. I put my hope and faith in him. I want him to fill me. I want to overflow with hope from the holy spirit. I put all my trust in him. As I get closer to him, as he shows me holiness, he reveals my brokeness. We are messy, broken people. But he wants to use us for his glory. He wants to give all of us peace, joy, and love if we just put our trust and hope in him. I thank you for showering me with your blessings father. You are so full of mercy and compassion and I am so very thankful.
His beloved,
Grace
