Unrelenting Pursuit

I have been spending time with my beloved a lot lately. He is teaching me so much about himself and is speaking to me in amazing ways. He is speaking to me specifically about having diligence. One verse that he continues to give me is 1 Corithians 15:58 which says, " Therefore my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." I want to have diligence in ministry and teaching. I feel like God is calling me to get involved in teaching some type of bible study or sunday school. I am continually praying about this for him to open up oppurtunities for me.

He is calling me to be diligent in encouraging others. I want to be sharing the name of Jesus Christ. I want nothing to hold me back. I want to be there to help others when they are in need. I want my life to be an encouragement. I want Christ to shine through me. Isaiah 50:4 says, "The Soverign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught." The Lord is instructing me and my tongue. My very words can be a ministry of healing and encouragment. Proverbs 15:4, "The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit." I want to speak words of encouragment not words of deceit. I need to be reaching out to others by encouraging them, sharing my faith, praying with people, just showing love to others like Christ showed his love for us on the cross.

I want to be diligent in prayer. "A prayer partnership serves as one of the greatest assets for accomplishing the deepest and highest work of the human spirit:prayer." I want to find a group where I can just pray with them. God has given me a heart of prayer. I am constantly praying to him about every aspect of my life. I never thought I would spend hours and hours on end in prayer but my beloved is transforming my heart.

He wants me to be diligent in serving him. He is giving me a servant heart. I am asking him to transform me into a fearless servant. I want to be a self-less giver. At this time in life God is using my singleness as a time to serve. A time to spend with him giving him my time and living for him. I want to be like Ruth who diligently worked at what she could. I have limitless ministry oppurtunities. I am a single woman who desires Jesus and to serve him. I don't want to let anything hold me back. I want to follow his plan for me and serve in any way he wants me to.

I want to be diligent in the ministry of writing. Proverbs 11:25 clearly states this for me, " He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed." I want to show love by writing notes, letters, or calling people just to encourage them. I want Christ's love to shine in and through me. He wants me to be involved in the lives of those around me and is giving me many oppurtunities to do this.

Christ is calling me to be diligent in listening. Being content to listen to someone today is a gift I can give. A listener provides healing audience for someone who is hurting. I want to have a loving, listening heart Lord Jesus.

He wants me to be diligent in hospitality. Reaching out to those who are hurting. God I ask that you would give me hospitality, that I could show others your love through my actions.

My beloved wants me to be diligent in helping others. This requires my time. I want to give up my time to help others. 1 Corithians 10:31, " Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." I want to do everything for the glory of him. "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men." Colossians 3:23.

I am diligently going after Jesus. I am surrendering everything to him. I want to be his servant. No matter the cost. Jesus spoke clearly about the constant public display of our service to him. " Everything they do is done for men to see.." Matthew 23:5. I want my life to be a living example of service for him. I want to the Lord to move in and through me. I ask that he would work through me. I want to be focused on him and only him. I don't want any distractions. I ask that the Lord would take away all of my distractions and all of my idols. I want to give him my time, my service, and my life.

Free hours,
Not wasted by me,
Using my free time,
To serve only Thee.
Realizing how temporary free time will be
Never to regret a missed oppurtunity,
For others to be blest,
Through yielded me.
